The Blessed Sacrament Comes Home

We are so incredibly fortunate to announce that the Blessed Sacrament will now be housed at our women’s residence, Seton Hall! The beautiful house on Goodrich Avenue in Saint Paul was previously home to the sisters of Pro Ecclesia Sancta, and came equipped with a small, beautiful chapel where the sisters offered their prayers each day. The donation of their new convent in Bloomington left a vacancy that Teach for Christ was happy to fill, and the TC women’s community moved in this past July. Jesus arrived with the priests of Pro Ecclesia Sancta this past Thursday, when they came over for our weekly Adoration hour with the Catholic Advance Movement (http://thecatholicadvance.org).

The Missionary Educators already have big plans with the Blessed Sacrament so near…or rather, He has big plans for us! Mass will be offered in the chapel at least twice a month. We hope to welcome visiting priest friends to offer Mass, or lead Exposition and Benediction. The chapel is just the right size to fit the community for night prayer, which we pray all together on community nights. And of course our chaplain, Fr. Humberto Palomino, will be overseeing the chapel and giving us more opportunities to encounter Jesus in the sacrament.

In this new year, we are thankful for many dedicated partners and benefactors who continue to help us grow not only as Missionary Educators, but to form us as young adults in Christ. With St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s intercession, we pray that, just as Christ offers His sacramental Body and Blood, we too can imitate in his example of self-sacrificial love as our mission grows in 2019.
